The Artist
Hi! My name is Natalie, the heart behind this atelier. Sunday Gathering started the way most good things do. Quietly, on a Sunday afternoon, with nowhere else to be.
Cooking elaborate meals with a million ingredients was never something I could realistically do every day. The time, the cost, the energy. Life gets in the way of all of it. But I kept coming back to a thought: what if just once a month, I made something a little extra? Not for anyone else. Just for me. Something sweet in the oven, or a savory dish that deserved my full attention.
That became my ritual. One Sunday a month, I would slow down, be present, and cook something that felt worth the effort. I started doing this in college, and that practice, that small intentional act of feeding myself well, is where Sunday Gathering was born. Many times it was banana bread and I would paint in my dorm room while it baked!
That love for cooking has always spilled into everything else. The way a meal becomes a reason to gather. The way a table set with care changes the feeling of a room. It led me naturally into creative direction and event styling. Into thinking deeply about how a space feels, how a celebration is held, how every detail tells a story. And it led me to wedding stationery, where a single illustrated piece can hold the entire feeling of a couple's day before it has even begun.
Whether it is an intimate dinner for two or a wedding celebration of two hundred, I have always believed that bringing people together through food and art is one of the most generous things you can do.
This studio is built on that. Slowing down is not indulgent. It is necessary. A beautiful meal, a hand-painted menu, a table set with intention. These are how we tend to ourselves and the people around us.
